Arjun Vaghela

Arjun Vaghela focuses his practice on financial services and investment management matters, acting for clients on the structuring, establishment, management, marketing and restructuring of investment funds, including debt funds and private equity funds. He also has experience in advising investors on investments into various types of funds.

Mr. Vaghela joined Dechert in 2017 as a trainee and qualified in 2019. He has also spent time on secondment in Dechert’s Singapore office. 

  • Pemberton Asset Management in connection with the launches of its second strategic value credit fund, its third and fourth mid-market debt lending funds, various managed accounts and ongoing advice in relation to the foregoing.
  • Blixt Partners LLP in connection with the launch of its first private equity fund focusing on mid-market European companies.
  • Earlybird Venture in connection with the launch of its second venture capital fund focusing on technology companies based in Turkey and Eastern Europe, and ongoing advice in relation to its first venture capital fund.
  • Cheyne Capital Management in relation to the launch of its second Luxembourg domiciled strategic value credit fund.
  • Swiss Capital Alternative Investment AG in relation to the launches on its various platforms of several funds managed with various large global private credit sponsors.
  • StepStone Conversus LLC in connection with the launch of a Cayman Islands domiciled feeder fund and a Luxembourg domiciled fund platform focusing on a range of private markets assets in the United States.
  • Primavera Capital in connection with the launch of its third China-focused leveraged buy-out fund that achieved commitments in excess of US$3 billion.
  • Various limited partners on investing into alternative investment funds and/or co-investment structures, including GIC and a large Australian superannuation fund.
  • Various fund managers in connection with the launch of private equity funds focused on ASEAN and other emerging markets and the transfer of interests in funds in the context of secondaries transactions.
