James Waddington, a partner in Dechert's global finance practice, advises on a broad range of finance and capital markets transactions with a focus on structured finance, securitisation and real estate finance. He represents financial institutions, investment banks and private equity and hedge fund groups in connection with complex financing transactions, debt offerings, CLOs (whether cash, synthetic or hybrid) and securitizations (RMBS, ABS, CMBS and exotics). Mr. Waddington's practice also involves regulatory capital structures (cash and synthetic), credit default swaps (both single name and portfolio as well as tranched), repackaging transactions and synthetic securitisations. He also advises on the restructuring of complex financial transactions as well as fund formation matters and fund investments.
