Eric B. Green

Eric Green is an associate in Dechert's cyber, privacy and AI practice group in its New York office. He is qualified as a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) by the International Association of Privacy Professionals.

Mr. Green advises multinational clients across all industry sectors on matters relating to technology and data, including global data privacy, cybersecurity, data breach response, consumer protection, and regulatory compliance. He counsels clients on compliance with the Federal Trade Commission Act (FTC Act); the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA); the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA); the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA); the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA); the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA); the Controlling the Assault of Non-Solicited Pornography And Marketing Act (CAN-SPAM); the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended, and similar state data privacy laws; and advertising and payment card processing self-regulatory frameworks.

His experience also includes advising clients on privacy and information security matters in the context of corporate transactions across a broad range of industries. He also provides time-sensitive advice to clients regarding cyber-attacks and counsels companies in the wake of data breaches regarding compliance with applicable notification laws. 

He is a regular contributor to Dechert Cyber Bits, a bi-weekly publication on privacy and cybersecurity matters, and a member of the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association. Mr. Green also maintains an active and varied pro bono practice.

Prior to joining Dechert, Mr. Green served as a judicial intern to the Hon. J. Mazer-Marino, United States Bankruptcy Court, Eastern District of New York.
