Philadelphia Business Journal Honors Antitrust Litigators George Gordon and Julia Chapman as ‘Best of the Bar’

Dechert antitrust partners George Gordon and Julia Chapman have been honored by the Philadelphia Business Journal in its Best of the Bar Awards 2022 in the Business Litigation category.
Each year, the publication showcases attorneys who have distinguished themselves in their practice specialties in the previous 12 months. Nominees are judged on the legal significance of their achievements and the business impact of their work.
Mr. Gordon is a leading, nationally recognized antitrust defense lawyer whose practice focuses on antitrust litigation, government investigations and counseling. He has earned a formidable reputation as a top antitrust lawyer and is ranked “Band 1” in Chambers USA, a “Leading Lawyer” in The Legal 500 and a “Recommended Lawyer” in Who’s Who Legal.
Ms. Chapman, a partner in the antitrust/competition practice, has built an impressive reputation handling complex antitrust, competition and commercial litigation matters. She represents clients across a wide range of industries, including pharmaceuticals, technology, specialty chemicals, and agriculture. Recently, she was recognized as a “Future Leader” by Who’s Who Legal in their 2022 Competition guide for the second year in a row.
The pair has secured a number significant antitrust litigation victories at all stages of litigation. Most recently, in the Northern District of Illinois, they won a landmark jury verdict in an antitrust case based on a patent settlement agreement and earlier this year secured a dismissal of a novel antitrust complaint filed by the FTC.
