Global Competition Review Honors Mélanie Thill-Tayara in its Women in Antitrust 2025 List

May 23, 2025

Mélanie Thill-Tayara, Paris-based antitrust partner and co-lead of Dechert’s global Life Sciences practice, has been recognized by Global Competition Review (GCR) in its Women in Antitrust 2025 list.

This highly respected listing of the most remarkable women in antitrust law is based on a global survey of private practitioners, in-house counsel, economists and academics carried out every four years. Those named to the list are selected for career-wide success and for their influence on colleagues and contemporaries.

This is the third time Ms. Thill-Tayara has been named to GCR’s prestigious listing.

Ms. Thill-Tayara, who has a successful track record litigating cartel and abuse of dominant position cases before competition authorities and the highest echelons of EU and French courts, is frequently recognized for her litigation expertise, having handled several landmark cases involving complex antitrust issues across sectors including tech, consumer goods, financial services, life sciences and public works.

In 2024, she was honored with Chambers Europe’s Outstanding Contribution Award for her career-wide influence on the competition legal arena and earned a spot among the Financial Times’ Top 10 Most Innovative Legal Practitioners in Europe. The year before, she was named “Litigator of the Year” by Global Competition Review at its GCR Awards 2023.
