Dechert LLP has been highlighted in Global Competition Review’s 19th annual GCR 100, a comprehensive guide to the world’s top competition law and economic practices.

The firm is ranked in the “Global Elite” category, which is GCR’s  “definitive list of the top 25 firms practicing competition law internationally.” Dechert is noted for its work across the globe including advising CVS Health in its US$70 billion acquisition of Aetna, as well as advising SK hynix Inc. in its US$18 billion investment in Toshiba's NAND memory-chip unit, which touched on several jurisdictions including the U.S., South Korea, China and Japan.

Dechert’s antitrust/competition practice is also recognized in several key jurisdictions, including as “elite” in Pennsylvania and “outstanding” in Washington, D.C. GCR recognizes Dechert in the Pennsylvania section for achieving a victory for egg producer R.W. Sauder in an antitrust class action jury trial and for obtaining affirmance of a grant of summary judgment in favor of Curtis Circulation Company. In addition to the CVS/Aetna merger, the Washington, D.C. group was noted for representing American Airlines in a consolidated class action.

Additionally, the firm is recognized as “recommended” in Brussels, France and New York. In the Brussels section, Dechert is noted for its work on Google’s abuse of dominance probes and for serving as counsel to Monsanto on its US$66 billion acquisition by Bayer. In the France section, Dechert is highlighted for its work advising Bénéteau and Airbus, as well as footwear distributor Sarenza on its acquisition of Monoprix. In the New York section, Dechert is mentioned for several deals, including Fresenius Medical Care’s proposed acquisition of NxStage and American Express Global Business Travel’s acquisition of Hogg Robinson.
