Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Selects Dechert Lawyers

March 05, 2021

Three Dechert lawyers have been appointed to competitive programs run by the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD), an organization comprised of top legal professionals working to build a more open and diverse legal profession.

Litigation associate May Chiang was accepted into LCLD’s 2021 Fellows Program, which is designed to connect high-potential lawyers from preeminent organizations for a year-long professional development series focusing on leadership and relationship building opportunities. Fellows are chosen based on their demonstrated leadership skills, as well as their active commitment to the legal community and diversity and inclusion activities.

Litigation associate Anna Do and real estate associate Arwa Abdelmoula have both been selected to participate in the LCLD’s 2021 Pathfinders Program. As Pathfinders, Ms. Do and Ms. Abdelmoula will participate in a six month professional development series that focuses on foundational leadership skills, professional networks and relationship building skills, and career development strategies.

Founded in 2009, LCLD includes more than 320 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners who are personally committed to creating a truly diverse legal profession. Dechert joined the council in 2017. Past 2020 Dechert participants include partner Andrew Wong, Fellow, and associates Andy Lau and Nadeea Zakaria, Pathfinders.
