Dechert Named Top Issuer Counsel for Single Family Rental Transactions in 2021

Dechert has been named the top issuer counsel for single-family rental transactions (SFR) in 2021 by Asset-Backed Alert. Due in large part to increasing investor demand for bonds backed by single-family rental cashflows, the firm completed 17 deals in 2021 with an issuance of US$10.5 billion.

As of October 2021, Dechert acted as issuer’s counsel on nine out of the top 10 SFR deals in 2021, according to Trepp, a leading provider of data and analytics for the industry. Dechert’s SFR experience dates back to 2012 when the firm began working with clients to develop their SFR lending and securitization platforms.

Dechert has since advised numerous clients in connection with a variety of complex SFR transactions, including warehouse facilities, term loans, mezzanine loans, single-borrower securitizations and multi-borrower securitizations. The growth of Dechert’s SFR practice is also highlighted by the recent promotion of Linda Ann Bartosch, who was elected to the firm’s partnership in 2021.
