Dechert Advises Bentley Systems and Seequent on Acquisition of Eliis
Dechert advised Bentley Systems and its subsurface software company, Seequent, on Seequent’s acquisition of Eliis, a seismic interpretation software company.
The acquisition expands Seequent’s geophysics capabilities through the addition of Eliis’ seismic data interpretation technology and more than 100 geoscientists, technical specialists and researchers. Eliis develops advanced seismic interpretation software used to process and analyze seismic imaging data and build detailed models of the subsurface.
Eliis’ capabilities complement Seequent’s existing subsurface software portfolio and are expected to support applications across energy, mining, groundwater management, mineral recovery and carbon storage.
Bentley Systems is an infrastructure engineering software company with software that spans engineering disciplines, industry sectors and all phases of the infrastructure life cycle.
Seequent builds world-leading technology that is at the forefront of Earth sciences, helping customers develop critical mineral resources more sustainably, design and build better infrastructure, source renewable energy and reduce their impact on the environment.
The core Dechert team advising Bentley Systems and Seequent was led by corporate partner Eric Siegel and included corporate associates Brannock Furey, Bryan Wilson and Jerry Ahn.
