Matthew P. Bertelli

Matthew P. Bertelli is an associate in the financial services and investment management practice. Mr. Bertelli represents asset managers in matters concerning federal securities regulation and corporate law. Mr. Bertelli counsels U.S. registered investment companies, including mutual funds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), and business development companies (BDCs), as well as their investment advisers, on a variety of legal, compliance, and business matters. He advises fund sponsors regarding formation, structure, and regulatory requirements for launching new funds. Mr. Bertelli also counsels clients on the cross-border provision of financial services and the global distribution of investment products.

Mr. Bertelli was a Dechert summer associate in 2022. Before joining the firm, Mr. Bertelli was an intern in the legal department of a public corporation based in Providence, Rhode Island, and served as a judicial intern for the United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island.
