Marie Louvet is a partner in Dechert’s Paris antitrust team.
Ms. Louvet advises on French and European competition law, with a strong focus on antitrust litigation, merger control and private enforcement. She represents clients in investigations and proceedings relating to anticompetitive practices before the French and European competition authorities and courts, and has extensive experience in advising on merger control filings. Her practice further encompasses distribution and compliance issues.
Ms. Louvet’s experience spans a range of strategic sectors, including energy, infrastructure, digital markets, automotive and financial services.
Prior to joining Dechert, Ms. Louvet served as Of Counsel at another international law firm and previously practiced at a leading French law firm.
- Groupe Up in the appeal against the French Competition Authority decision of 17 December 2019 fining UP 45 million euros for alleged anti-competitive practices following an antitrust complaint by new entrant Octoplus in the market for meal vouchers
- United Group, the leading provider of telecommunications services and media in Southeast Europe, on the notification to the European Commission of its acquisition of the Greek telecoms operator Wind Hellas
- Cellnex Telecom, Europe’s leading operator of wireless telecommunications infrastructures, on the merger control aspects of the acquisition of French tower company Hivory from Altice France and Starlight Holdco (KKR) through an initial investment of €5.2 billion . The transaction was authorized by the French Competition Authority in 2021, subject to divestment commitments from Cellnex
- Altran Technologies, a world leading provider of Engineering and R&D services, on the notification to the European Commission and other jurisdictions of the €4.8 billion friendly takeover by Capgemini.
