Dechert Hires Litigation Partner Robin Nunn in Washington, D.C.

Dechert LLP has hired litigation partner Robin Nunn in Washington, D.C. Ms. Nunn is a financial services specialist who, drawing on her experience as in-house counsel at some of the country’s top banking institutions, will lead the firm’s consumer finance litigation practice.

Ms. Nunn joins Dechert’s global litigation practice, which, since January 2018, has seen a wave of 16 lateral partners joining in economic centers around the world. The firm’s high-value and unique practice is comprised of litigators in 21 offices across the U.S., Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

Ms. Nunn’s practice focuses on regulatory, enforcement, litigation and transactional matters. She advises clients in the financial services, insurance, securities, and fintech/insurtech spaces on issues arising from supervision and regulation, investigations and enforcement actions, governance, and compliance and risk management. She was previously the co-leader of the supervision, enforcement and litigation practice at another large law firm.

Having served as Vice President/Senior Associate General Counsel at Capital One from 2015- 2017, and as Counsel at American Express from 2012-2015, she brings to Dechert vast experience advising executives of major financial institutions through federal investigations and examinations, and supervisory and enforcement actions from regulators.

Ms. Nunn is currently the vice-chair of the Consumer Financial Services Committee Diversity and Inclusion Task Force, as well as the co-chair of the Banking Law Committee’s Diversity and Inclusion Task Force in the American Bar Association’s Business Law Section.

She received her J.D. from The University of Chicago Law School, where she served on The University of Chicago Law Review, and her B.A. from Dartmouth College. Following law school she clerked on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit for the Honorable Barrington Parker, Jr.
