Dechert Welcomes Private Fund Formation Partner Tricia Lee

Dechert LLP announced today that Tricia Lee has joined the firm’s global private funds practice as a partner based in Texas. She will work closely alongside the firm’s global private equity practice to advise clients throughout the fundraising cycle.

Ms. Lee focuses her practice on the formation, structuring, and operation of private funds, and has represented private equity, real estate, credit, distressed and other types of private funds. She regularly represents the so-called "mega funds" (vehicles raising pooled capital of $5 billion or more), and her experience encompasses a full range of established sponsors as well as first-time fund launches. She also advises clients in connection with placement agent agreements, separately managed accounts, co-investments, and a host of other transactions, as well as counseling clients on general corporate matters, including transactional and governance issues. She has extensive experience negotiating, structuring and closing a wide variety of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and strategic partnerships.

Ms. Lee received a J.D. from Texas Tech University School of Law, summa cum laude, and a B.A. from Arcadia University, summa cum laude. She was formerly a partner with another leading international law firm.

Ms. Lee is the sixth partner to join Dechert’s global financial services and investment management practice since the start of 2019. She follows the addition of New York-based partner Omoz Osayimwese (who joined in January 2020), Dublin-based partner Ciara O’Leary (September 2019), London-based partner Thiha Tun (March 2019), and Dublin managing partner Carol Widger and London-based Luxembourg specialist Marianna Tothova (both in January 2019).
