Dechert Advises Blisce in €300 Million Growth Fund

May 12, 2021

Dechert advised Blisce, a transatlantic management company founded by Alexandre Mars, on the structuring of its second fund, Blisce Fund II.

This vehicle, which has obtained Growth Tech label Tibi as part of a government initiative in the technology space, aims to raise €300 million. The fund has held a first closing which amounted to €125 million raised from family offices (Blisce's historical backers) as well as from institutional investors (insurance companies, banks and sovereign wealth funds). Blisce Fund II has also been supported by a number of entrepreneurs. The new fund will continue to target Series B or C rounds led by European or U.S. growth-stage start-ups, in particular in high-growth and high-impact sectors such as food waste solutions, healthcare, micro-mobility, financial services and access to education.

The Dechert team advising Blisce on legal and tax aspects included partner Sabina Comis, national partner Cyril Fiat and associates Etienne Bimbeau, Antoine Pian and Pierre-Emmanuel Floc'h.
