Dechert Advises Mount Logan on Acquisition of Yieldstreet Alternative Income Fund Assets

March 24, 2026

Dechert advised Mount Logan Capital Inc. (Mount Logan) on a transaction where Opportunistic Credit Interval Fund (SOFIX), a fund managed by Mount Logan Management, LLC, entered into definitive agreements to acquire the assets of Yieldstreet Alternative Income Fund Inc. (YS AIF).

The acquisition is expected to increase SOFIX’s assets by more than US$100 million, nearly doubling the fund’s size. It serves as Mount Logan’s first strategic acquisition of additional assets under management since its business combination with 180 Degree Capital – a transaction Dechert advised Mount Logan on in 2025 – and is an element of scaling Mount Logan’s permanent and semi-permanent capital vehicles, a strategic priority for Mount Logan.

The Dechert team advising Mount Logan was led by corporate partners Ken Young and Daniel Mozes with associates Robert Gregory, Conor Shea, Jerry Ahn and Seth Worthen. The team also included financial services partner Alexander Karampatsos and counsel Katherine Corey; global tax partners Joshua Milgrim and Rebecca Lee with associate Javier A. Pérez Rodríguez; and private funds associate Nichollas Dawson.
